Recognition Highlights Innovation in Payments Technology
The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) selected Matthew Katz, CEO of Verifi, Inc., for their 2019 Forty Under 40 prestigious list of leaders. ETA’s select group of executives represents all the evolving segments of the payments industry, highlighting the game-changers whose innovations and leadership are driving the industry forward.
Over 100 nominations were submitted to the ETA by association members and industry leaders. The 2018 class of Forty Under 40 leaders and the ETA Awards and Recognition committee reviewed and selected this year’s final group, based on the nominees’ achievements in the payments industry and their professional character.
“It’s an honor to be chosen as one of the leaders in ETA’s Forty Under 40,” said Matthew Katz. “As a longtime ETA member, I am very grateful to play a contributing role among such high achievers and innovators in the payments ecosystem. The eyes of all Verifi team members are on the expanding future of payments, and we’re excited about the new solutions and services we can develop to lead our partners to great success.”
Matthew founded Verifi in 2005, realizing early in the formation of the company that merchants and issuers shared the need to reduce fraud and chargebacks, but lacked the means to pursue effective solutions. The result is his pioneering development of chargeback management services and SaaS solutions, which help stop fraud and chargebacks by merchant-issuer collaboration. Matthew’s principles for providing solutions of true value are forged in responding to the expressed needs of clients and anticipating industry changes. That spirit of collaboration and foresight is expressed in Verifi’s continued innovation and in building long-term partnerships to promote growth.
Matthew is active in supporting numerous non-profits and has instilled in the Verifi culture a philosophy of providing for others, which takes form in the company’s many community service programs.
